Zig-Zagging off the Planned Route

I had Sarah {my crafty partner in crime} over last week to work on projects. I had no motivation to work on some of the larger projects I have on the go, so I thought I would start on the gift tags I am making for some friends and family. Sarah could not finish the scrap book projects she wanted to work on {because she needs a proof-reader}. So, while I worked on the tags, she built the boxes for the tags. I will make the acetate tops and I am thinking of asking her to make me two more boxes {she whipped them up so fast, divider and all!}
This set will be a door prize for a Christmas dinner/fund raiser.
Card stock; Ridinghood Red, Whisper White
Ink; Always Artichoke, Real Red, Summer Sun, versamark, Whisper White
Stamps; Christmas Punch
Accessories; MS glitter, punches, eyelets, Sarah's great box building skills

Oh, What Could Have Been...

This is the card I meant to build as my Christmas card for last year. I envisioned a slew of friends and family opening envelopes from my family and gasping at the fresh snow falling on the clear acetate. Then they would rush to their phones or email to ask how I did it and why was I so smart and good looking.
Since I did not make this card last year, none of that really happened. But there is hope for this year!

Card stock; Ski Slope DSP
Ink; White Stazon
Stamps; Snow Burst, All Holidays
Accessories; vellum, stickles, snow flake die

Literary Devices

{Edited; I just realised this post goes live on Remembrance Day. Please take a moment to stop and think of those that sacrifice for our freedom. Those that are currently away from their families and risking their lives every day, those that have already given their lives in this current and past conflicts. Those that fought in past wars and also the Conscientious Objectors. They stayed behind, in near slavery conditions, to help keep our country running and supplying the war effort. My blog, my right to get on a soap box now and again.}

Some card stock conservative Christmas cards. {I am feeling very alliterate today}

I just kills me that I use a stamp alignment tool {and DH laughs every time he sees it} and I still manage to mess the sentiment!
The evergreen boughs are Always Artichoke with Handsome Hunter highlights {more alliteration for ya'}. But the HH seems to overpower the AA. Oh, Well.

Card stock; Kraft
Ink; Chocolate Chip, Handsome Hunter, Always Artichoke
Stamps; Autumn Blessings, All About Argyle
Accessories; white acrylic paint, AA grosgrain,

Stick to the Master Plan

This is a little more like me. I was trying to do something for the last October challenge over at 365Cards. The prompt was "inchies". I was looking at all my images and trying to see them with fresh eyes.
I ended up just doing this for now. I have another version of it with a sentiment in the center, but I used textured card stock as the base and the image ran. So I don't know if anybody will ever see that card....
{about the title, no signifigance. I was listening to some music & that was a lyric}
Card stock; Whisper White (textured), Ridinghood Red, Kiwi Kiss
Ink; Kiwi Kiss
Stamps; Christmas Classics
Accessories; MS stamp punch, ruler, stamp-a-ma-jig

Pretty Bow

Does it look like a Dawn McVey inspired card? It should, it is completely CASEd from her blog. It was for the release of her ornament stamp set. The only difference is I have an oval tag where her ornament was. I like the yellow and pinks together. That was the last little bit of that excellent yellow and pink ribbon too!

Card stock; Rose Red, Regal Rose, Yo-yo Yellow
Ink; Rose Red, versamark
Stamps; Christmas Punch, Best Wishes and More
Accessories; button, ribbon, sewing machine, iridescent embossing powder, heat gun, wide oval punch, DMC floss

I HAVE Been Creating,

I just have not found the time to blog about it all. Some of the stuff I have created was for the 365Cards blog and I was not super happy with everything I made there, so those ones just went on my Splitcoast gallery. This is a card I made a few weeks ago. I had time to stamp, but I had no ideas. So I went through my inspiration file and saw a picture of a Dawn McVey card. This is a little different from what I normally do, but I think you will agree that this looks very much like Dawn McVey;

I made a pair of these. I have been doing that with all the Christmas cards I am doing this year. I don't really want to mass produce one style, but if I have the supplies out, I figure I can at least make two of a design.

Cardstock; Rose Red, Chocolate Chip

Ink; Chocolate Chip, Versamark,

Stamp; All About Argyle, gel-a-tins

Accessories; American Crafts ribbon, paper flower, book page, Lattice Die, silver brad

Paisley

I have no paisley, but the challenge at 365Cards was to use it o your card. I was about to get everybody in the car and drive to the craft store. But then my mailman stopped by and I had a catalogue in the mail. In that catalogue was some paisley bedding.
I ripped the pages into some small hills and stamped my trees onto of that.
A sentiment and some twine complete the card.
Card stock; Creamy Caramel
Ink; Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, Pumpkin Pie
Stamps; Trendy Trees, Live Like You Mean It
Accessories; catalogue page, twine
