A Total CASE

I forget who I CASEd this from. I thought it was a simple and stunning card. So I am simply trying to flatter the original artist. I have not had a lot of time for creative pursuits, I am stamping a wall hanging for my parents 40th anniversary. It is taking a lot more time than I really have at this point. Cardstock; Whisper White, Handsome Hunter, Ridinghood Red
Ink; versamark, Handsome Hunter
Stamps; Christmas Classics
Accessories; silver brads, corner rounder, American Crafts ribbon, silver embossing powder, heat gun

Here is my winter version of the 'ribbon saver' card. Lots of ribbon bits, plus some embossing with iridescent powder.

Jingle All The Way

This card is a result of scouring Alison's blog for card sketches, I love that she does this. I saw a sketch {card positioning systems} that would allow me to use some of this flocked paper from Making Memories {I picked up from the small local scrap booking store}

This is another of those cards that I make and am actually happy with. Not every card is a winner in my mind {but I still share them, I am good like that.} But this one has texture and color and it was so easy to put together that I whipped up 4 of them.

Card stock; Whisper White, Making Memories pp

Ink; Always Artichoke, Real Red

Stamps; Christmas Classics

Accessories; American Crafts ribbon, nestibilities

Manly For Sure

Sorry for the blog silence. I really don't know what to say, I had stamped creations to show you, I had pictures of them. I just did not sit down to post them. Sorry. But here I have some glittery goodness to show you. Does that make up for my absence?
This card is for my brother's birthday. I was trying to keep it simple, cuz he is a guy, but still have some zing, cuz his wife loves to see what I create.
I used the Twilight Tuesday sketch {not because I am all about Twilight, but because I saw the link on Allison's blog}. I used some paper from Making Memories that I picked up from the local small scrap booking store. I had most of the parts together and I was trying to think of a great little embellishment. As I was looking through my embellies I saw my bottle of MS glitter. Perfect. I ran a strip of StickyStrip and dumped the Brownstone glitter over it. I really like how this card turned out. Simple, but strong.
Card stock; Whisper White, Mellow Moss, Making Memories PP
Ink; Mellow Moss
Stamps; Upsy Daisy

Zig-Zagging off the Planned Route

I had Sarah {my crafty partner in crime} over last week to work on projects. I had no motivation to work on some of the larger projects I have on the go, so I thought I would start on the gift tags I am making for some friends and family. Sarah could not finish the scrap book projects she wanted to work on {because she needs a proof-reader}. So, while I worked on the tags, she built the boxes for the tags. I will make the acetate tops and I am thinking of asking her to make me two more boxes {she whipped them up so fast, divider and all!}
This set will be a door prize for a Christmas dinner/fund raiser.
Card stock; Ridinghood Red, Whisper White
Ink; Always Artichoke, Real Red, Summer Sun, versamark, Whisper White
Stamps; Christmas Punch
Accessories; MS glitter, punches, eyelets, Sarah's great box building skills

Oh, What Could Have Been...

This is the card I meant to build as my Christmas card for last year. I envisioned a slew of friends and family opening envelopes from my family and gasping at the fresh snow falling on the clear acetate. Then they would rush to their phones or email to ask how I did it and why was I so smart and good looking.
Since I did not make this card last year, none of that really happened. But there is hope for this year!

Card stock; Ski Slope DSP
Ink; White Stazon
Stamps; Snow Burst, All Holidays
Accessories; vellum, stickles, snow flake die

Literary Devices

{Edited; I just realised this post goes live on Remembrance Day. Please take a moment to stop and think of those that sacrifice for our freedom. Those that are currently away from their families and risking their lives every day, those that have already given their lives in this current and past conflicts. Those that fought in past wars and also the Conscientious Objectors. They stayed behind, in near slavery conditions, to help keep our country running and supplying the war effort. My blog, my right to get on a soap box now and again.}

Some card stock conservative Christmas cards. {I am feeling very alliterate today}

I just kills me that I use a stamp alignment tool {and DH laughs every time he sees it} and I still manage to mess the sentiment!
The evergreen boughs are Always Artichoke with Handsome Hunter highlights {more alliteration for ya'}. But the HH seems to overpower the AA. Oh, Well.

Card stock; Kraft
Ink; Chocolate Chip, Handsome Hunter, Always Artichoke
Stamps; Autumn Blessings, All About Argyle
Accessories; white acrylic paint, AA grosgrain,
